Second Work and Holiday Visa

SUBCLASS 462

This visa lets people between 18 to 30 years old have an extended holiday in Australia for 12 months and work here to help fund their trip. The Work and Holiday visa starts on the date you enter Australia even if you are transiting through Australia or also have a valid: electronic travel authority, crew travel authority, and maritime crew visa.

The applicant can study for up to 4 months during holding this visa. Most importantly, the applicant will become eligible to apply Second Work and Holiday Visa if he or she does 3 months of specified subclass 462 work. You can only work for the same employer for 6 months. The 6 months work limitation resets when you are granted a second subclass 462 visa. This means you can work another 6 months for someone you worked for on First Work and Holiday Visa.
